Zeiss Planetarium Bochum: Up close to the stars

At Planetarium Bochum, the sky is definitely not the limit.

Let’s face it; how often do we get to see a proper starry sky these days? All too rarely, we’d say! In between varying times for sunsets and sunrises, weather conditions and of course light pollution from towns and cities, the night sky seldom gets to put in an appearance.

So thank heaven – literally – for planetariums! And thank heaven too for the planetarium in Bochum – the largest in the Ruhr metropolitan region. Here you’ll have no problem viewing and admiring the Plough and the Little Dipper in 4K resolution, even during the daylight hours. It’s the whole universe, on a 600-square-metre projection screen – not bad going, all in all.

We recommend you look online and find a time that suits you … then get ready to go stargazing!
