Rhine Ferry Walsum Orsoy

If you want to get from Walsum to Orsoy (or vice versa), there are several options. You might drive across one of the Rhine bridges ... or you could take the ferry. Since 1958 this Rhine ferry has been welcoming drivers, cyclists and pedestrians keen to save time, money and hassle with its name, the cheery miner’s greeting “Glück auf” (literally “Good luck”).

The schedule is fixed and can be found online. And just between us: we’d gladly spend three euros even if we didn’t need to get across the river. Because a short ferry trip like this is both exciting and relaxing. Just be sure to catch the last one back – or you’ll end up having to resort to one of the less stress-free alternatives.
