You will find a tastefully restored house from the late Wilhelminian time around 1895. Classically furnished, the interior is dominated by warm wood tones and discreet colours. Original artworks of various artists underline the timelessly calm character of our house. In the winter garden, you enjoy your breakfast in a small green paradise or end a long day on a relaxed note at the cosy house bar.
Due to the hotel’s central location in the green lung of the Ruhr Area, everything can be reached on foot: Town centre, cinema, museum, theatre and old town are only a ten minute walk away. For jogging, hiking, skating, etc., we recommend the nearby Ruhr promenade. The Wasserbahnhof (water station) and the Weiße Flotte (river cruise) are located in the immediate vicinity of our house. A modern fitness and tennis centre on the other side of the Ruhr, in the district of Saarn, are connected by a bridge and bicycle paths through a remarkable protected landscape right in the middle of the city.
