Hugenpoet Manor is situated in the Ruhr river valley, between Essen-Kettwig and Mülheim. The Düsseldorf city centre and International Airport, as well as Essen city Centre are within easy reach, about 20 min by car.
The Ruhr valley, Ratingen forrest and the Baldeney Lake are ideally situated for walks and bicycle tours (mountain bikes available in our Hotel). For tennis players, our clay tennis court is situated in the Manor Park, for Golfers, there is a coice of six different golf courses in the area and we also offer access to a private fitness club with sauna and steam bath.
When visiting Essen and its surroundings you can also explore the World renowned Opera House, various museums, and the converted industrial site, now a World Heritage Site, the "Zeche Zollverein".
Hugenpoet Manor offers 36 individually furnished rooms - including one Villa, the Ustinov Suite and five Junior Suites. As well as having luxurious bathrooms, the rooms are equipped with beatiful original antique furniture and paintings.
In our restaurant “HUGENpöttchen” in the main castle with a wonderful view into the
garden our team welcomes you daily from 12:00 until 11:00pm and spoil you with
regional culinary delights.
In our restaurant “LAURUSHAUS” in the outer bailey, open from Thursday till Saturday at
06:30pm our Chef Erika Bergheim and her team prepare light, flavourful
and seasonal gourmet cuisine. Annual holidays 11th until 31st July 2016.
For our guest, we offer a free shuttle to the nearby Fitness First (ca. 3min by car) allowing you to enjoy a variety of fitness devices, fitness classes and sauna facilities.
