Here, the "raw material" is knowledge, not mined underground, but in laboratories, workshops and clever minds. Science has a lasting impact on the Ruhr region: from energy and mobility to water, materials and digitalization. The research ranges from tiny quantum dots and nanoparticles to huge galaxies: electricity from hydrogen and fuel cells, humanoid robots, applied AI, exciting technology and a look under the electron microscope.
